Dr Udo Luister

Dr Udo graduated from the University of Freiburg in 1996 and has enjoyed a long and rewarding career in dentistry. Originally from the Bavarian mountains, he eventually made Devon his home, where he has built strong connections with his patients and the local community.

Clinical Interests

Udo has a genuine passion for general dentistry and has continued to develop his knowledge and experience across many areas, including cosmetic dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, restorative dentistry, prosthetics and holistic dentistry. This broad experience enables him to look at each patient as an individual and find an approach that suits their needs, wishes and long-term oral health.

His Approach to Care

For Udo, dentistry is about much more than treating teeth. He believes in listening carefully, building trust and helping patients feel comfortable and confident in their care. He particularly values preventive dentistry and enjoys helping patients maintain healthy smiles for life.

Outside the Practice

Away from the practice, Udo is a devoted family man who enjoys spending time with his wife, family and friends. He loves travelling, cooking, reading and gardening, and at home he is kept busy looking after his cat, dog and tortoise. Life outside dentistry is an important part of who he is, and he brings the same warmth, curiosity and care to his relationships with his patients.
